This post must be a contender for the tiniest ever giveaway. Going through my Mary Taylor things I discovered I have duplicates of a couple of postcards of The Red House and leaflets about Taylor and the Brontes. Bearing in mind the tiny number of visitors the house gets I am guessing most of you have never been and if The Red House does close then you'll never get the chance so it seemed right to offer these few things:
The stained glass postcard is the an image of the glass described in Shirley (the house features as 'Briarmains' in Shirley).
If you'd like them the just leave your name in the comments before the end of Wednesday. If there is more than one of you I'll draw names out of a hat.

I'd love to be entered. Wish I had known of the Red House when I visited England last. I did get to see Haworth and the Bronte Parsonage, however.

thought it was William Morris's Red House, and had a second of panic when you mentioned it might close! People think of Morris as a designer, but in his day he was a popular author and poet, and the people who bought his designs thought him eccentric, and got a kick out of buying wallpaper from a famous writer.
Apologies to Bronte's fans, but I'm glad it isn't 'my' Red House that is endangered -- good luck with yours!
