I have an awful lot of copies of Mandela's Books and the Strong-Room of Dreams: Reflecting on the Value of Literatureby Dennis Walder. It is the text of a lecture - a 27 page pamphlet - and is of interest to anyone studying Nelson Mandela, South Africa, the nature of reading (especially childhood reading), postcolonialism, political prisoners and Charles Dickens. It is an interesting side read to Mr Pip by Lloyd Jones for example.
If you would like a copy then leave me a message below and I'll contact you for our address. I have about 8-10 to giveaway and I am happy to post anywhere in the world.
You can read the full catalogue description on my website here (but don't order there unless you want to pay for it!).
This sounds fascinating. I would love to receive a copy of 'Mandela's Books and the Strong-Room of Dreams'.
Many thanks.
