I read Operation Heartbreak a few months ago - in a rather tatty library book not a Persephone sadly - but found it absorbing and very sad.
It was fascinating to watch the TV programme about Operation Mincemeat although the romantic in me rather preferred the fictional version!

Hi Liz - I didn't see the program, I just read the article on the beeb website. I like how Duff Cooper has taken a sad little tale and turned it into something rather more uplifting.
